Our Programs
Wrightstown Friends Nursery School provides two sessions. The morning session is held five days a week from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Most of the children in this class will be heading to kindergarten the next fall. The afternoon session is held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Many of the children in this class are younger and attend our school for two years, although this can vary with a child's needs. Classes are held from September to May. Each class has three teachers. The afternoon class has a teacher's aide as well. From time to time, we use parent volunteers and also have special guests to supplement our teaching staff. Activities each day are varied and include blocks, outdoor play, stories, cooking, nature study, field trips and art. An interactive music program is included. We have special days which include our Grandmother's Tea, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and the celebration of holidays. Our children experience first-hand and frequent opportunities for sharing, making choices, and solving problems, helping them to learn about themselves, others, and the world around them. Consistent with Friends' practices, there will be a moment of silence each day. Our Teachers: Jean Dinneen, Director B.S.
